Places to practice in urban areas

For the peeps who went out and bought/built an FPV racing drone and then thought "****, where am I actually going to be able to fly this thing without getting harassed?" - what are some options?

First off, I'd check the

First off, I'd check the local municipal laws. A lot of places don't allow flying in public parks, beaches, schools. Chances are, local flying clubs will have fields or even droneports set aside for flying activities. Some clubs like to use indoor locations with lots of space....cave races have been a thing recently. Indoor go karting tracks as well. Or if there's farmland nearby, maybe one the farmers is willing to let you (or a club) fly on their land.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions. The local flying clubs require some form of insurance, usually MAAC. For flying solo, I figure my best shot is to drive a little out of town where there's more open areas and fewer people around. Not many farms where I am, and I'd be worried about the dirt getting into motors.
